Upgraded twin skin metal roof

We recently completed a roof upgrade to two warehouse units in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. The client initially specified a liquid coating system; however, following our assessment, we recommended a replacement roof build-up including new vapour barrier, insulation, support system (bars and brackets), top sheets, and rooflights.

The existing metal liner sheet was retained in place to minimise disruption to the tenants below, allowing the works to be carried out efficiently without impacting internal operations.

This approach provided a far more effective long-term solution, significantly improving the thermal performance of the buildings, extending the roof’s lifespan, and delivering a comprehensive manufacturer-backed guarantee—all while remaining within the client’s budget.

Despite challenging site conditions, including restricted access and adverse weather, our team successfully delivered the project to a high standard. The finished result has not only enhanced the performance of the buildings but also improved their overall appearance and durability.
